Meet Our Team
The work of Micah 6 of Austin is possible only through the dedication and generosity of our volunteers. Led by our executive director and program directors, key volunteers provide the consistent leadership that make it possible to serve thousands of people, year in and year out. All corporate officers and board members volunteer their talents in strategic planning and governance, and you’ll often find them greeting clients, delivering rescued food to the pantry, and helping serve hot meals to young people at our drop-in center.

President“I started volunteering with Micah 6 in 2002 or so, and managed volunteers and the pantry for a time. Because of Micah 6, I see the face of Jesus in every client and every volunteer.”

Treasurer“Living in a booming place like Austin, it can be easy to look past the folks who are struggling and need a little help. Micah 6 is the conscience of our city, making sure we don't forget the responsibility we all have to love our neighbor.”

Secretary“A decade ago, I saw a mention in my church’s weekly newsletter asking for help with meals for the Street Youth Drop-In Center. I had a coffee with longtime volunteer Sue Bell, who painted such a picture that I was hooked before I even got started. Participating in all the opportunities Micah 6 offers has been one of the most meaningful gifts in my life, and it is my honor and privilege to continue to serve the organization.”
