Organize a Food Drive
Micah 6 welcomes individuals, schools, community groups, and local businesses to partner with us in the fight against food insecurity. One of the most effective ways to support our pantry is by organizing a food drive. Whether you're a first-time organizer or a long-time supporter, your effort makes a direct impact.

Choose your start and end dates (1–2 weeks works well). Set clear, attainable goals such as collecting 150 canned goods or 100 bags of rice.
-
Use flyers, social media, email campaigns, and word-of-mouth to spread the word. Ask schools, churches, offices, and neighborhood associations to help publicize.
-
Place collection bins in visible, high-traffic areas. Include signs and donation guidelines so participants know what to bring. Contactless drop-offs or porch pickup options can boost participation.
-
Create themed days, competitions, or prize drawings to increase engagement. Partner with local businesses or schools for broader outreach.
-
If possible, sort donations by type (e.g., canned vegetables, boxed goods) and label boxes before delivery. This helps our team process items faster.
