Volunteering for the First Time
Volunteers are extremely important to successful operation of Micah 6 programs.
However, we strongly encourage first-time volunteers to read our Volunteer Guidelines, fill out the the Volunteer Information Form, and register on our page at signup.com.
Volunteering with Street Youth Outreach
SYO volunteers should be at least 30 years old, and should contact Street Youth Outreach Director Mac McKaskle at email@example.com to review requirements and schedule an orientation.
Volunteering with the Food Pantry
Before volunteering for the first time, please review the Volunteer Guidelines for the Micah 6 Food Pantry. You’ll need to complete a Volunteer Information and Release form; you can print this form, complete it and bring it with you the first time.
Here’s what you need to know:
Your first visit starts with an orientation, where you’ll learn about the many ways volunteers help.
The Pantry is open Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings. Our weekly food shop is unloaded early Thursday morning. The Street Youth Drop-in Center operates Sunday afternoons. We can find the right time / job for you!
Reliability is important; a regular schedule is great!
Wear comfortable clothing and shoes.
Bring a spirit of Godly service and charity.
Help us maintain a positive atmosphere of fellowship, understanding, and dignity.
Be friendly, respectful, and caring to all.
