Micah 6 Street Youth Programs

Micah 6 Street Youth Outreachcomputer corner of drop-in center

In January 2012, the member churches of Micah 6 recognized the growing need of homeless youths in Austin. The Street Youth Program was formed and provides a drop-in center for these young adults, aged 30 and under. The Center is located in the lower floor of the University Baptist Church administration building and is open Sunday afternoons from 2 to 6 PM.

The Center is staffed by several hosts and offers a safe environment where guests can use computers with internet access, visit with each other, play games or engage in arts and crafts, relax and lounge on nice furniture, and use the rest rooms. Guests can have plenty of ice water, coffee, and iced tea, snacks, and eat a tasty and nutritious early supper.

We are in desperate need of volunteers to serve as hosts and to prepare meals. Please visit the Micah 6 street youth website for details:  Micah 6 Youth Drop-in Center. To find out how you can help, please contact the Director of Youth Drop-In Center Mac McKaskle at (512) 538-6332 or via email at dropin@micah6austin.org.
